Scope
Bespoke furniture, interiors

The client asked for a room that could seat twelve without feeling formal. We began with the table — four metres of solid oak, drawn in the studio and made over five months.

Everything else recedes: a soft curved ceiling, plaster walls the colour of the sand outside, and one bronze fixture that becomes the only ornament in the room.

Design concept

A single object, given the room it deserves.

Material palette

  • Solid oak, hand-finished
  • Curved sand plaster
  • Cast bronze lighting
  • Cream shearling upholstery

Spatial strategy

The pavilion is symmetrical about the table axis, with glazing on one long side and service concealed on the other.

Designer's note

Bespoke work is slow by nature. The five months this table took are the reason the room needs nothing else.
