The Studio
Fred Atandi Studio creates considered interiors where architecture, materiality and human experience meet.
The practice works slowly and in depth. Each commission begins with the building itself — its structure, orientation and the way light moves through it — before any question of finish or furniture is raised. What follows is a bespoke design developed for one site and one client, never adapted from a previous project.
Materiality carries the work. Stone, lime plaster, solid timber, woven fibre and patinated metal are selected for how they age and how they feel under the hand, and are detailed alongside the craftspeople who will make them. Precision in drawing is what protects that craft on site.
The result is intended to be timeless rather than current: interiors that function faultlessly, hold an emotional charge, and continue to make sense a decade after handover.
